Philly Hummus Girl Pop-up @The Souk on Passyunk!

We’re back at The Souk on Passyunk for a new refreshing pop-up called THE ICE CREAM SOUK — hosted by @shopminimalchaos — on Saturday, August 2nd at 12PM-2PM or until we sell out!

BOOZA – A stretchy, chewy Syrian-style ice cream made with mastic and ground sahlab from orchid tubers.

FALOODEH BASTANI – A Persian dessert of icy rice noodles sweetened with rosewater and lime, served over saffron-infused vanilla ice cream (called bastani), topped with tart sour cherry syrup.

While you’re keeping cool with our sweet treats, be sure to explore The Souk! It is such a cool spot and Sarah, the owner and curator, has created a beautiful community space for everyone to come enjoy and learn about Arab culture!

These were my fave sweets when I was growing up in Dubai! I lived in Deira, an older neighborhood along the historic Silk route - so I’m excited for my childhood faves to become your faves too!
